Eric and Suzy at "Strings", Drawing by Christopher Peterson.

Welcome to our schedule page, here's where you can hear us during the next little while. In mid-September, Eric will be playing a series of Cajun dances with two fantastic musicians from Louisiana, fiddler Joel Savoy (the son of Marc & Ann) and accordionist Jess Lege. Later in September, Eric & Suzy will reunite with Bill Evans, Alan Senauke and Markie Sanders on bass for a few Bluegrass Intentions shows! The link to the Bluegrass Intentions page on the left is not working properly; here is the correct link to the BLUEGRASS INTENTIONS web page

Suzy's brand new CD with Del Rey, entitled Hen Party is out! You can buy it directly from us at one of our gigs, or order it here: Hen Party at CDBaby.com. Eric's new CD,Kleptograss, (with Jody Stecher, Scott Nygaard, Paul Shelasky and Paul Knight) is done and will be out very soon. Also in the pipeline is another Todalo Shakers CD (10 years since the first one!) with WB Reid, Frannie Leopold and Matt Weiner.

Suzy has been appointed the Artistic Director of Festival of American Fiddle Tunes, the week-long traditional music camp and festival in Port Townsend Washington that has been going for 34 years now. She is honored to be following in the footsteps of Dirk Powell, the outgoing Artistic Director (the A.D. position is usually a 5-year term, and the A.D. doesn't have to move to Port Townsend, most of the work is done via phone and email.) She's also very pleased to work with Program Director Peter McCracken, who also runs Blues Week, and whose gift for putting together festivals of traditional music has been one of the major inspirations for the BOTMC.

Speaking of which, don't forget the Berkeley Old Time Music Convention which will be Sept. 8-12 this year! Fantastic lineup including Jimmy Triplett, Scott Prouty & Andy FitzGibbon (younger generation fiddle-banjo players from West Virginia), Laurel Bliss & Cliff Perry (duet harmony singing, unusual repertoire), Bobby McMillon (from western North Carolina, traditional Appalachian ballads and stories), the Macrae Sisters (from Portland), Del Rey (you can hear Suzy & Del perform selections from their new CD), and Kenny Hall with the Sweets Mill String Band, who accompanied him on his classic 1970s recordings. And much more!

Sept. 5 - Texas Sheiks at Rhythm & Roots Festival, Rhode Island This looks to be quite an amazing party over Labor Day weekend, with the Texas Sheiks plus Marcia Ball, Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, Donna the Buffalo, Dave Alvin & the Guilty Women, Red Stick Ramblers, etc. etc. etc. Rhythm and Roots Festival website
