LATEST CD RELEASES: The Todalo Shakers CD, "Tickled, Too" features fresh and funky string band blues from the 20s and 30s played and sung by Eric & Suzy plus W.B. Reid (from Seattle) and Frannie Leopold (Mendocino) with the incomparable bassist Matt Weiner (Seattle). Sun. Jan. 1 - Eric & Suzy, Peter Rowan and Paul Knight at the Station House Cafe, Point Reyes Start out 2012 right with Eric, Suzy, Peter and Paul, together again for the first time. We'll be holding forth from 5 til 8:30 pm. It's a cozy setting in the bar, you can have dinner or just drinks. Station House Cafe website

Sat. Jan. 7 - Suzy with the Texas Sheiks at the River City Music Festival, Portland Oregon - A rare appearance by the all-star acoustic blues band, the Texas Sheiks, with Geoff Muldaur, Jim Kweskin, Cindy Cashdollar, Johnny Nicholas, Bruce Hughes, and Suzy at the River City Music Festival, located at the Red Lion Hotel on the River in Portland, Oregon. Many other great performers will be playing, including the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, David Lindley, the Travelling McCourys, the Caleb Klauder Country Band and much more. Wed. January 11 - Bois D'Orme Cajun Allstars at the Spare Room, Portland Oregon - Eric and Suzy will be joined by Sammy Lind, Nadine Landry and Caleb Klauder (of Foghorn fame) plus special guests, to help kick off the Portland Old Time Gathering with some foot-stomping Cajun dance music. Sat. Jan. 15 at 2 pm - Eric & Suzy duo set at the Portland Old Time Gathering We're honored to be invited to play an afternoon set at this amazing community gathering! We'll be playing in the New Meeting Room at the Scottish Rite Center. Portland Old Time Gathering website

Sat. Feb. 4 - Kleptograss at Mission City Coffee Roasting Company, Santa Clara.. Eric is convening his all-star band to explore all kinds of music from blues to bluegrass to Puerto Rican to Greek to Irish, and even more! Eric will be joined by Jody Stecher, Tom Rozum, Paul Shelasky and Paul Knight. Sun. Feb. 12 - Eric & Suzy open for Foghorn at Don Quixote's, FeltonThis should be a great night of oldtime music, we're delighted to be opening for one of our favorite oldtime string bands! Tues. Feb. 21 - MARDI GRAS with the Aux Cajunals plus the Tri Tip Trio at AshkenazOur annual Mardi Gras dance, this time we are honored to be sharing the bill with the terrific zydeco band, the Tri Tip Trio. The Aux Cajunals will play first, at 8:30; the Tri Tip Trio plays at about 10. As usual, a half-hour dance lesson will precede the music at 8. Ashkenaz is located at 1317 San Pablo, near Gilman,in Berkeley. All ages welcome, free parking across the street in the REI lot. Ashkenaz website

Looking ahead in 2012 -- We'll be touring the southwest (Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana) in March and the east coast in April. Summer includes Kamp Kaufman in Tennessee (June 10-16, both Eric & Suzy plus Brad Leftwich, Evie Ladin and many other great players/teachers), the Mandolin Symposium in Santa Cruz (June 25-30, Eric plus David Grisman, Mike Marshall, Andy Statman and many more) and Festival of American Fiddle Tunes in Port Townsend WA (July 1-8, both Eric & Suzy - Suzy is the Artistic Director of this weeklong blowout and the lineup is AMAZING, too many great players to list here!)
